Testimonials

See what our public service partners and parents are saying about CLEAR Alliance.

“For those of us in public service, the educational tools and services offered by CLEAR Alliance will fulfill a tremendous need throughout Oregon.  Although there is substantial research and evidence available, the information is often scattered among various public service agencies and in reports that commonly are too complex for the general public to decipher and interpret, which can lead to a lack of information or misinformation among our public. Knowledge is power to improve public health and safety.  Investing in CLEAR Alliance to format relevant public health and safety data into appealing and user-friendly educational tools will allow multiple public service organizations to utilize the clearinghouse of tools for free, increase access for youth and adults to acquire the knowledge, and save time and money for public health and safety agencies.  We are committed to supporting and partnering with CLEAR Alliance.”

In our Redmond-area region, we serve approximately 500 youth per year through our Boys & Girls clubs sites. We are excited about the collaboration with CLEAR Alliance as their products and services are high in demand for our agency.  Youth today interface significantly with traditional media, social media and technologies that often send misinformation or mixed messages to our youth.  Having CLEAR Alliance’s public health and safety educational tools (all cited and sourced with evidence and science-based research) available to our clubs in both Redmond and Terrebonne will: support professional development for our staff – and allow us to access, utilize and disseminate factual and trustworthy tools and resources to youth, their parents or guardians, our staff, and our community partners – who also utilize the club facilities.  This will increase our knowledge base about substance abuse, mental health and violence prevention and provide a collective voice in communicating with our youth to better prepare them as they grow and develop, graduate high school, further their education, and make healthy life choices.  I plan to share CLEAR Alliance’s free educational tools with the other Boys & Girls club regional directors in Oregon.”

As parents, we usually know what we want from our children. I know I want my daughter to say “No” to drugs. I know that I want her to recognize a bad situation when she is in one and get out of it. What I don’t know, without educational tools, is how to prepare her for all of the different forms these drugs/dangers come in and all of the problems that one can experience by using them. Having a tool that I can use for talking points with my teen opens the door to both her and I being able to have a true understanding of what she faces, and will face daily. Knowledge is power for me as a parent and for my daughter as we navigate through her teen years. Clear Alliance provides great tools to bridge the gap between what we hear and see, and what we know to be true.”

“I am a parent and also a nurse in the Central Oregon community. As a parent, I want to stay informed of what is out there. I want to know the challenges that my children face, and in what forms these challenges may present themselves. Knowledge is power. Knowing more and educating myself can only benefit me as a parent and my children. Having clear & concise information with talking points will help me communicate things to them in a way that is non-threatening. Ultimately, the impact that I want as a parent is to keep them safe. As a nurse, having this information is important to me so that I know what I may see in clinical practice, better respond to patient needs and questions, and more appropriately understand what we face in the future. I can also use the educational tools as a way to educate others that may feel the information is complex and intimidating. This can only lead to a more informed community with more options. I am so glad to have Clear Alliance’s tools to use!”

“Before joining Clear Alliance I saw the roster of members which included prominent members throughout the state including judges, District Attorneys, other law enforcement professionals, Medical professionals and also concerned parents. In my personal opinion I believe that Clear Alliance is needed in this time in Oregon and it is important that we educate today’s youth on the dangers of marijuana, violence and mental health so they know how to react in the future when they are confronted with these issues. I am proud to be part of this organization.”

“As a prevention professional I am regularly asked by colleagues and personal acquaintances where to find the latest credible information about drug trends. The CLEAR Alliance educational tools are quickly becoming my first stop for evidence based research that has been cited and sourced. Most recently marijuana infused edibles has been a hot topic. I went to ClearAlliance.org and was not disappointed. The information I needed was readily available. I trust the information has been well vetted and I refer others to the user-friendly website often. Thank you for providing this much needed resource to our communities!”

We strive to teach the girls life lessons through the game of softball with the goal of preparing them to be productive members of society.
